Today is the day! Happy Queen's Day! Introducing the new king and queen of the Netherlands: King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima.

 

This is another card and a banner made with the Hero Arts Crown background stamp and the Stampin' Up! little crown stamp.

Koninginnedag 2013/Queen's Day 2013 ... Go Orange!

 

Hallo allemaal! Happy Tuesday! Het duurt niet meer lang en dan is het Koninginnedag in Nederland. Dit jaar is het extra speciaal, want op 30 april 2013 wordt Kroonprins Willem-Alexander ingehuldigd als koning. In 2014 wordt het Koningsdag in plaats van Koninginnedag. Zijn moeder, Koningin Beatrix, is de koningin van Nederland sinds 1980. Ik wens iedereen alvast een hele fijne Koninginnedag ... Go Orange!

 

Hi there! Happy Tuesday! Queen's Day (a national holiday) is coming up in the Netherlands. This year will be a special one, on April 30th, 2013 Crown Prince Willem-Allexander will become King of the Netherlands. Next year it will be King's Day instead of Queen's Day. His mother, Queen Beatrix, is the Queen of the Netherlands since 1980. Happy Queen's Day ... Go Orange!

Stampin' Up! workshop

 

Hallo allemaal! Ik ben vandaag zo blij met het zonnetje. We hebben een aantal dagen met abnormaal veel regen achter de rug. Er zijn veel overstromingen, veel basements staan vol water, huizen en auto's staan onder water, echt ontzettend veel wateroverlast in de Chicago area. Hopelijk krijgen we nu een tijdje geen regen en ik hoop dat de gedupeerden alle hulp krijgen, die ze zo hard nodig hebben de komende tijd.  

 

Afgelopen vrijdag heb ik weer een Stampin' Up! workshop bijgewoond en we hebben een gift bag gemaakt en een vintage kaartje (zie foto hierboven) en verder ook een card swap gedaan. Dit is het resultaat:

 

 

Een heel fijn en zonnig, maar vooral creatief weekend!

CELEBRATE .... (Stampin' Up! Feeling Sentimental SAB 2013)

 

Hi there! Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was just wonderful:  

 

* Saturday: a Creative Memories scrapbooking day (Thanks Shannon for hosting events like that! It is always so much fun to join your crop weekends!);

* Sunday: the Flea Market in St. Charles, IL and afterwards a stop at Portillo's for a hot dog (my daughter Celine made me stop there, lol!); 

 

 

Yes, I bought this frame and the filled Mason jar at the flea market.

For creating this card I used the Stampin' Up! Feeling Sentimental stamp set (SAB 2013) and the 2012-2014 In Colors cardstock: Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, and Raspberry Ripple and Crumb Cake. The color of the ink pad I used for stamping is Early Espresso.
